We advise entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals on national issues. We also consult and cooperate with specialists and authorities outside Switzerland with regard to international matters. Tax planning is at the forefront of the advice we provide.
Succession, estate planning and executorships
We advise clients on succession planning, focusing on customised solutions. We assist, for example, in drafting and implementing agreements on lifetime gifts, matrimonial property agreements and deeds of inheritance, wills and estate distributions. Other key areas include establishing foundations and serving on foundation boards as needed. We cooperate closely with corporate and tax specialists to ensure fully integrated business succession planning and implementation. If it is not possible to find amicable solutions with the parties or authorities involved, we assist clients in enforcing their rights in civil and administrative proceedings.
Law on the protection of adults
We prepare advance care directives and living wills tailored to our clients’ individual needs. These ensure that business and private transactions can still be carried out even if the person concerned is prevented from acting for medical reasons or due to absence. In our capacity as agent or court-appointed deputy, we help to implement the arrangements that have been agreed.

Switzerland remains very popular worldwide as a location for foundations. The number of foundations and the volume of the assets of foundations are growing. As the supreme governing body of a foundation, the foundation board is responsible for management of the assets of the foundation. In times of inflation and volatile stock markets, the risk of liability of foundation boards can be huge. This risk of liability affects not just charitable foundations, but also corporate foundations and employee benefits foundations. The foundation board may relieve itself of some of its responsibility through appropriate organisational measures.
